*Contributions will only be published in the eBook of Abstracts if the presenting author of each accepted abstract is registered and paid before May 15, 2025.

Present your research at the 19th ICCE Conference 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia, a biennial conference under the auspice of the Division of Chemistry and the Environment (DCE) of the European Chemical Society (EuChemS).

Each participant is entitled to submit maximum two abstracts, one for oral presentation and/or one for poster presentation. All abstracts must be in English.

Only on-line submissions via template provided will be taken into account. Please note that the first author MUST be the presenting author. Presenting authors MUST be registered. Registration will be opened from the 27th of November 2024.

Only word documents will be accepted. Abstracts that are not in accordance with template will be sent back to authors for correction.

Abstracts should be submitted as MS Word documents and accompanied by excel where ORCID numbers are provided together with the statement that you agree that the abstract will be permanently publicly available during and after the Conference, as an e-publication with ISBN number under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License CC-BY. In the case that you do not agree, the abstract will not be published in the E-book of abstracts which will be the only published material. Both word and excel files are prepared as per instructions given in the templates which has to be downloaded from following links:

ORCID Numbers

  • Abstracts should be prepared off-line in advance in accordance with the template provided (Microsoft Word).
  • Abstracts must be submitted online via the submission form only (https://icce2025.com/submissions/).
  • Abstracts submitted by email will not be considered.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • The name of the abstract must be “Surname_name_first five words of the title
  1. Please select the session where you want to present your work and upload your abstract written in accordance to guidelines provided in the template.
  2. Please note that not all the sessions included in the call for abstracts will be programmed at the meeting. Depending on the number of abstracts received, the Scientific Committee will decide to accept, merge or cancel the session. In the latter case, the Scientific Committee will make suggestions to move your abstract to another session.
  3. Please select the way you prefer to present (oral or poster).
  4. By submitting your abstract you confirm that you understand and agree that your abstract will be announced in the Conference Programme and published in the eBook of Abstracts (including figures you provided) that will be publicly available during and after the Conference (as a e-publication with ISBN number). By registering for the conference, you agree to abide the ICCE 2025 Code of Conduct.
  5. Disclosure of Conflict of Interest. Please confirm that the abstract has not been previously published or presented and that the Figures you include are your own work.
  6. You will receive an abstract ID number via email after you have submitted your abstract. Please refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract.

Tips for abstract writing:

  • Provide 1-2 sentence of background and explain scientific relevance of your work
  • Explain the challenge, hypotheses and methodology
  • Report on results and conclusions so far
  • Explain the societal relevance of your work
  • All abstracts should be submitted in quality suitable for publication and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling

Note: Please note that abstracts should not promote a research institute, consortium/project, commercial product, process, or service. Please make sure that the abstract does not contain any spelling or grammar mistakes. Instructions provided in the template must be strictly followed.
Notifications on the abstracts acceptance will be sent to authors on the 7th 15th of March 2025. If you did not receive the notification from Congress secretariat, please check firstly your spam folder or contact Congress secretariat at icce2025@congrexpo.co.rs.

We kindly ask the authors to respect allocated presenting times:
Plenary lectures > 35 min presentation +10 min for discussion
Key-note lectures > 25 min presentation + 5 min for discussion
Oral presentations > 12 min presentation +3 min for discussion

Please be advised that presentations exceeding the limit will be cut off by the chairing persons of the sessions in the interest of time.

Presenters do not have to bring their own computer. There will be a Windows based laptop computer that will be available in the session room. Your presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint preferably, 16:9) will be accepted in USB Flash Drive form. Participants should have their presentations upload and ready before the session starts.

Filename should be presenter’s surname (e.g. Surname.pptx).

Upload will be possible every day:
– immediately after last talk of the day before the day of your presentation or
– from 07:45-08:20 on the same day, if your talk is scheduled after lunch.

Important for MAC users:
To use Mac presentations on a PC-compatible computer, please ensure that your presentation is prepared according to the instructions provided below, before handing it over to the technician in the room where your presentation will take place:

  1. Convert it to PowerPoint or PDF.
  2. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (Special characters might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint-based PC).

It is also possible to use your MacBook, which needs to have a HDMI output.

  • Contributors are responsible for printing and providing their own posters for display at the congress.
  • The maximum size of the poster should be 90 cm wide and 120 cm high.
  • The text and illustrations should be bold and large enough to read from a distance of at least one meter.
  • Portrait oriented layout is the preferred poster format. If you choose to use a landscape or square format please ensure that all printed materials are less than 90 cm in width. Failure to follow this requirement will mean that the poster will not fit on the allotted board.
  • The number of each poster abstract and of its corresponding poster board is provided in the appropriate session programme. The first part of this number indicates the Session and the second part the running number of the respective poster board in poster area.

Tape and technical equipment for the hanging of posters will be available, as well as assistance to help you mount your poster in the poster presentation area.

The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for posters that are not removed on time.
